Rainy Sunday lunch

Today has been such a blessed day. Let's start with getting back an extra hour of sleep! Hallelujah for that am I right?! I rolled out of bed with the intention of doing absolutely nothing today. Pj's, a messy top knot, and my Chemex filled with Texas pecan coffee. But unfortunately for me, I do NOT know how to sit still. I mean I truly have to be sick or really exhausted to sit on the couch and do nothing. Something always has to be done. Laundry, dishes, cleaning. Cleaning in general is something I'm extremely obssesive about. So today I decided I needed a break from all that. I started out with antique shopping. I could do that for hours. Which I actually did to be honest. The nice ladies who owned the place checked on me a few times to make sure I was finding everything I needed. Boy did I. I love old dishes and tarnished cutlery. All of that stuff reminds me of my grandmother. It was kind of like spending the day with her again. My sweet Rosie Cepeda. She was an absolute gem of a lady. After that venture I needed some new dish towels from Anthropologie. I mean I didn't NEED them but I WANTED them. And any excuse to go there is alright with me. I swear it's my oasis. It took everything in my power to not buy everything my little heart desired. Dahvid would have had a heart attack.

Once I got what I needed I headed home and after all that shopping my stomach was growling. Lucky for me the night before I went grocery shopping at central market which is another guilty pleasure of mine. Since I am a foodie I try and buy things that I know are gonna taste good and look good. I've become accustomed to their fresh baked bagels since David had me try his poppy seed one. But let me tell you, I did not know they made a garlic bagel. YEAH! That's right you heard me. Garlic my friends, makes everything better. And this was fried garlic. Erin if you're reading this remember that delicious bag of fried garlic you gave me? It was just like that! That smell made love to my nostrils. Along with that and a few other ingredients I came up with the worlds most decadent bagel. A garlic bagel slathered in cream cheese, thin sliced Colby jack, garlic rosemary kobe beef sliced thin, a handful of green medley drizzled with olive oil, Roma tomatoes, pepper and course salt.
Wooooooah that was a mouthful! Literally! The explosion of flavors was ridiculous. Where has this been all my life!?! I'm still thinking about it! The kobe beef along with the bagel is definitely what makes this sandwich. It's a little pricey at 16.95 a pound but well worth it. You'll find it in the deli section of CM.
Here a picture of me capturing the masterpiece! Happy Sunday friends. Hoping yours is going as great as mine. I intend to enjoy what's left of this beautiful day relaxing. I hope ;).
