Colorful water drops

Let me begin by saying this was absolutely ridiculous to capture.  First off I was using the wrong setting the whole time. Colorful water drops made me want to throw my camera across the room.  Adjusting the aperture as far as I could go (f22 was what seemed to work) and switching from auto focus to manual helped.  I picked my beautiful bottle of Jameson and and some sweet tarts.  After a few snaps Voila! It worked! Finally after weeks of frustration!  I should have just watched some you tube videos too.  That saved me a lot of time.  Also Rainex people!  That stuff works very well.  The problem I was having was mainly with the water drops themselves.  They would not bead up like I wanted them to.  When I used the Rainex it worked out perfectly.  So great job and now its time to move on to another challenge and hopefully this one will not make me want to pull my hair out.

I finally have picked up where i left off.  Ya know life tends to get in the way sometimes ;)  Here we have a technique referred to as light painting.  Simple, I took a pair of cowboy boots I have and put them under a spotlight.  Darkening the background and turning it black and white gave a more rustic worn down look.  These bad boys are my favorite and I can do a mean two step now thanks to my sister.  Now if I can only get Dahvid a pair so he can  twirl me around the dance floor.
